Dog Pen - Part 1

Our first real project upon moving in ten months ago was to repair the fence. It has kept the dogs in, but they really need a space of their own where they can play and take care of business without destroying the grass. The fruit trees and roses would probably perk up without Atlas "watering" them daily.
You may have noticed that our yard is mostly composed of weeds. Luke sprayed weed killer today so hopefully by next weekend we will be back to bare dirt again. This fall we will till up the yard and plant seed.
Being able to drive into the back yard has made life so much easier. We also purchased a truck this week after three months of only having our cars to haul materials. I've really missed being able to use my tailgate as a workbench. Below we have the two end posts in and still have to dig and set the three middles. Our 27' span worked out perfectly as three 8' sections plus a gate.
The holes are finished and the posts are plumb. Time to mix the concrete.
And the concrete is mixed and poured.
Rikka and Atlas are very interested in the building process, but will probably be less enthusiastic when they realize it's a pen. I would love to have this finished in the next few evenings, but with our work schedules of late we might have to wait until the weekend.
